New labor working culture

The new working culture of Monte de Piedad seeks the creation of better conditions to face the current circumstances and challenges of the new economic environment, as well as to satisfy the necessities of its employees and their families. All this entails the acknowledgement of their contribution to the productive process.

The new working culture in Nacional Monte de Piedad entails a process that does not end once and forever, but that means:

  • A constant, permanent and co-responsible effort of the productive factors.
  • A new acknowledgement of the human work as a key factor in the institution to reach the highest level of productivity and competitiveness
  • The promotion of fair remuneration fees which can give a balance that encourages the productivity and competitiveness development. All this can help the individual and team efforts inside the institution.
  • The training process as a key tool for employees and employers to get a high command of the working environment. This way they will be able to offer more to the productive tasks, adapt to changes, and fully develop their abilities, so they will be able to fulfill themselves as human beings within their working environment.
  • Environmental health and safety inside and outside the working environment, considering them essential for the well being and good health of the employees and the institution.
  • Dialogue and compromise as the main ways to develop the relations between employees and employers in a harmonic environment, acknowledging the importance of settling the controversies before the jurisdictional organs that enforce labor laws, since this can help to get a balance between the productive factors.

Another very important factor in the new working culture is to work as a team: Institution and Union in order to understand the company’s real situation and its surroundings, so they can share concepts as:

  • Competitiveness
  • Productivity
  • Quality
  • Effectiveness


All that in addition to :

  • Having a joint vision of the institution, making working plans together, sharing information about the company’s results, and adopting common principles and values.
  • Making an own model of employment relationships, checking and updating it constantly. This can enable a scheme of working productivity, profitability, and flexibility that can optimize the costs.
  • Developing short, medium and long term belonging strategies to make the employees feel a main part of the institution and not isolated individuals. This can be achieved with motivating courses that promote a change of the old points of view and the creation of new paradigms.
  • Developing the employment relationship areas as the only official communication channel with the Union.
  • Creating conditions that promote confidence, compromise and credibility of the directive areas of Nacional Monte de Piedad with the Union, accomplishing its subsistence, continuity and growth of the institution’s operations, as well as a relation with the Union that is based in a society where both parts can be favored.
